Public Transport Air conditioned and non-air conditioned buses ply the major routes. Other convenient choices for transport include the unique and colourful, Filipino-built jeepneys, the (LRT) Light Rail Transit, public utility tricycles (motorcycles with side cars) and pedi-cabs (pedal-pushed side car) or bicycle. Horse-drawn carriages called Kalesa or Karitela are a popular way to sightsee or make short, if somewhat slow trips in some centres such as in Manila.
